Braised Apples

Ingredients:

 ●      6 medium or small tart apples, stems trimmed

●      2 tsp. butter

●      1 tsp. lemon zest

●      ½ tsp. cinnamon powder

●      3 tsp. crystallized (candied) ginger, minced

●      3 tsp. lemon juice, freshly squeezed

●      ½ cup brown sugar

●      ¼ cup orange-flavored liqueur

●      ½ tsp. cinnamon powder

Directions:

1.    Lightly grease the insides of the Yedi Pressure Cooker with butter.

2.    Place apples top-side down into the Yedi Pressure Cooker. Make sure the apples are in a single layer.

3.    Except for garnishes, mix remaining ingredients in a separate bowl until sugar dissolves. Pour mixture on top of apples.

4.    Press: SLOW COOKER and LOW. Set the timer to 7 hours. Secure lid.

5.    After the cooking cycle, carefully scoop out apples and place directly into dessert bowls. Spoon a small amount of sauce around.

6.    Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
